    In Saturday's non-league bout, the Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) football team nudged the host Roselle Rams (Roselle, NJ), by a final score of 20-18.

    With the win, Hillside advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Comets host Carteret (Carteret, NJ) to encounter the Ramblers in a Big Central - United Gold bout on Saturday, October 11. The Ramblers go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Carteret won 45-0 in their recent non-league bout against New Brunswick (New Brunswick, NJ)

    The Rams now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Newark Collegiate Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, October 10. Roselle will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 33-0 league loss to Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 0-5.
