The Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) flag football tipped the host Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA), 7-6 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Pioneers now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Compton Early College for a non-league outing on Monday, October 6. Artesia will clash with a Rising Phoenix team coming off a 46-0 non-league loss to Culver City (Culver City, CA). The Rising Phoenix record now stands at 0-8.
The Aztecs (7-9) will now prepare for their game against Indio (Indio, CA). The Rajahs enter the Desert Empire game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Indio was edged by Shadow Hills (Indio, CA), 31-0, in a league game.
