Ohio High School Soccer - Marietta nudges Canfield

In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Marietta Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Canfield Cardinals.
The Tigers (12-2) will now prepare for their outing against Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV). The Maroon Knights go into the non-league outing with a 15-1 record. In their last outing, Wheeling Central Catholic got by Tyler (Sistersville, WV), 12-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Poland Seminary Bulldogs (Poland, OH) in a non-league test, on Monday, October 6. Canfield will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 9-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Lakeview (Cortland, OH).
