McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), 7-1 in a non-league outing.

The Trojans (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Erie (Erie, PA). The Royals go into the outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, Erie was overwhelmed by Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Lancers play the Cathedral Prep Ramblers (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 outing, on Tuesday, October 7. General McLane will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Ramblers go into the outing with a 12-2 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY).
