California High School Football - Carmel nudges Palma

In Saturday's league match, the host Carmel Padres football squad scored a close 22-21 triumph over the Palma Chieftains.

The Padres (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hollister (Hollister, CA). The Haybalers go into the battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Hollister nipped Salinas (Salinas, CA), 21-15, in a league battle.

The Chieftains now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Aptos for a battle on Saturday, October 11. Palma will play a Mariners team coming off a 20-7 league win over Alisal (Salinas, CA). The Mariners record now stands at 6-0.
