In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Las Lomas Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pittsburg Pirates.

The Knights (7-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Foothill (Pleasanton, CA). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Foothill beat Dublin (Dublin, CA), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates play the Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Pittsburg will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record. The Matadors go into the game with a 5-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA).
