Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA) and the host San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA), observed Taft's volleyball team hold off San Gabriel by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Taft improves its record to 11-11 on the season. The Toreadors travel to Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA) to encounter the Wolves in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. The Wolves go into the test with a record of 2-0.

The Matadors now own a 1-1 record.
