In Saturday's league contest, the Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) soccer squad nipped the host Averill Park Golden Knights (Averill Park, NY), by a margin of 2-1.

The Plainsmen now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Saratoga Springs for a Suburban Council- Blue challenge on Tuesday, October 7. Shenendehowa will encounter a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Niskayuna (Niskayuna, NY). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Averill Park moves to 1-7 on the year. The Golden knights host Columbia (East Greenbush, NY) to encounter the Blue Devils in a Suburban Council- Gray challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 10-0.
