In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Mid Valley Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 win over the Forest City Foresters.
The Spartans (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against West Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Invaders enter the Lackawanna - Division II outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, West Scranton by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 4-1, in a league outing.
In their next game, the Foresters clash with the Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA) in a Lackawanna - Division III test, on Monday, October 6. Forest City will attempt to move on its 0-11 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 12-1 record after their 6-0 league win over Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA).
