The Metamora Redbirds triumphed over the host Geneseo Maple Leafs soccer squad by a score of 8-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Redbirds now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Peoria for a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, October 7. Metamora will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Streator/Woodland (Streator, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 3-12.

The Maple Leafs (1-14) will now prepare for their game against Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Golden Warriors come into the Western Big 6 game with a 7-9 record. In their last game, Sterling defeated Winnebago (Winnebago, IL), 5-1, in a non-league game.
