In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Litchfield Purple Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Pleasant Plains Cardinals.
The Purple Panthers (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians/Lady Indians come into the non-league test with a 10-10 record.
The Cardinals now sport a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rochester for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. Pleasant Plains will clash with a Rockets team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 4-8.
