The Middletown Cavaliers (Middletown, DE) soccer overwhelmed the host Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 5-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Cavaliers now own a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Georges Tech for a Blue Hen - Flight A contest on Tuesday, October 7. Middletown will battle a Hawks team coming off a 2-0 league win over Delcastle Technical (Wilmington, DE). The Hawks record now stands at 9-0.
The Eagles (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Laurel (Laurel, DE). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Laurel nudged Mount Pleasant (Wilmington, DE), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
