The Central Lions softball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Columbus Blue Devils to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a 4A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, October 7. Central will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 22-6.
The Blue Devils (10-15) will now prepare for their test against Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Raiders go into the 2A Region 1 test with a 14-10 record. In their last test, Shaw by Brookstone (Columbus, GA), 6-4, in a non-league outing.
