The St. Ambrose Academy Guardians edged the host Altoona Railroaders volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Guardians confront the Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, October 4. St. Ambrose Academy will attempt to advance on its 14-10 season record. The Raiders go into the game with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI).
The Railroaders (9-13) will now prepare for their game against Baldwin-Woodville (Baldwin, WI). The Blackhawks go into the Middle Border outing with a 18-15 record. In their last outing, Baldwin-Woodville nipped Cadott (Cadott, WI), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
