In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Barnum Bombers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Maple Lake Irish.

The Bombers (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Rush City (Rush City, MN). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Rush City beat Pine City (Pine City, MN), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Irish play the Braham Bombers (Braham, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Maple Lake will attempt to advance on its 9-13 season record. The Bombers go into the game with a 5-13 record after their 3-0 league win over East Central (Sandstone, MN).
