Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Greenwave (14-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Maroons come into the non-league challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Robinson was beaten by Newton (Newton, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Purple Raiders meet the Manual Rams (Peoria, IL) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 7. Bloomington will attempt to advance on its 5-12 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 0-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL).
