Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) and the host Canby Cougars (Canby, OR), observed Grant's volleyball team top Canby by a count of 3-0.

The Generals (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ida B. Wells (Portland, OR). The Guardians go into the 6A Portland Interscholastic battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Ida B. Wells dropped by The Dalles (The Dalles, OR), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Salle for a 5A Northwest Oregon battle on Monday, October 6. Canby will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts (Milwaukie, OR). The Falcons record now stands at 12-5.
