The Centennial Golden Hawks volleyball squad (Bakersfield, CA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Thousand Oaks Lancers (Thousand Oaks, CA)

The Lancers (27-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA). The Trailblazers enter the non-league contest with a 26-3 record. In their last contest, Sierra Canyon got by Chaminade (West Hills, CA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Golden Hawks meet the Frontier Titans (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite River contest, on Tuesday, October 7. Centennial will attempt to improve on its 18-7 season record. The Titans go into the battle with a 15-12 record after their 3-1 league win over Garces Memorial (Bakersfield, CA).
