In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Champaign Central Maroons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fieldcrest Knights.

The Maroons (8-21) will now prepare for their test against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Greenwave go into the non-league test with a 11-13 record. In their last test, Mattoon went down by Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL), 2-0, in a league test.

The Knights now sport a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Armstrong for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Fieldcrest will play a Trojans team coming off a 2-1 league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 14-5.
