The Seaholm/Groves Maples edged the host Chippewa Valley Big Reds volleyball team by a tally of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Maples now have a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Regina for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. Seaholm/Groves will play a team coming off a 3-0 league loss to St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI). The record now stands at 5-8.
With the loss, Chippewa Valley moves to 11-10 on the season. The Big reds host Armada (Armada, MI) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, October 4. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 0-13. Armada lost 3-2 in their recent league game against Algonac (Algonac, MI)
