In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Citrus Hurricanes volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Johns Country Day Spartans.
The Hurricanes (4-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Manatee (Bradenton, FL). The Hurricanes come into the non-league outing with a 9-10 record. In their last outing, Manatee lost by Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL), 3-0, in a league outing.
With the loss, St. Johns Country Day drops to 6-14 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Clay (Green Cove Springs, FL) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 7. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 10-11. Clay won 3-1 in their recent league game against Orange Park (Orange Park, FL)
