In Saturday's non-league match, the Crystal Lake South Gators (Crystal Lake, IL) volleyball squad tipped the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), by a count of 2-1.
Next up, the Gators confront the Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL) in a Fox Valley match, on Tuesday, October 7. Crystal Lake South will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 13-11 record after their 2-0 league win over Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL).
The Blue Demons (5-18) will now prepare for their match against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings enter the Central Suburban match with a 11-14 record. In their last match, Niles North held off Leyden (Franklin Park, IL), 2-0, in a non-league match.
