The Mitchell Kernels topped the visiting Douglas Patriots volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Saturday's league game.

Next up, the Kernels confront the Rapid City Central Cobblers (Rapid City, SD) in a AA District 1 game, on Friday, October 10. Mitchell will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Cobblers go into the game with a 9-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Thunder Basin (Gillette, WY).

The Patriots (4-16) will now prepare for their outing against Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD). The Broncs come into the non-league outing with a 6-17 record.
