Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR) and the host Dover Pirates (Dover, AR), observed Mena's volleyball team top Dover by a count of 3-0.

The Bearcats (20-7) will now prepare for their battle against Fountain Lake (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Cobras go into the 4A 6 battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Fountain Lake achieved victory over Harmony Grove (Benton, AR), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now own a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mayflower for a 3A 5 battle on Tuesday, October 7. Dover will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Mansfield (Mansfield, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 14-7.
