Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL) and the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), observed St. Anthony's volleyball team top Fieldcrest by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (20-5) will now prepare for their contest against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL). The Maroons go into the non-league battle with a 5-19 record. In their last battle, Champaign Central dropped by Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 2-1, in a league battle.

The Knights now own a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mahomet-Seymour for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. Fieldcrest will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-2.
