In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Rush City Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Floodwood Polar Bears.

The Tigers (20-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Barnum (Barnum, MN). The Bombers come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Barnum beat McGregor (McGregor, MN), 3-0, in a league test.

The Polar Bears now own a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aitkin for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Floodwood will face a Gobblers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Hinckley-Finlayson (Hinckley, MN). The Gobblers record now stands at 5-9.
