Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Fremont Eagles (Fremont, IN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Muncie Burris (Muncie, IN). The Owls enter the non-league challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Muncie Burris was beaten by Elkhart (Elkhart, IN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Fremont will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 8-17 record after their 3-1 league loss to Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, IN).
