Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the host Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI), 2-0 in a non-league outing.

The Dukes now have a 26-9 record. They play next when they host Frankenmuth for a Tri-Valley - East game on Tuesday, October 7. Garber will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 9-11.

The Portagers (15-6) will now prepare for their game against Leland (Leland, MI). The Comets go into the Northwest game with a 7-17 record. In their last game, Leland gained a win over Frankfort (Frankfort, MI), 3-0, in a league game.
