St. Mary's Academy Blues (Portland, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Grant Generals (Portland, OR), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Blues (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Tualatin (Tualatin, OR). The Timberwolves come into the 6A Three Rivers challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Tualatin went down by Oregon City (Oregon City, OR), 3-0, in a league test.

The Generals now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canby for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Grant will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Hood River Valley (Hood River, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 7-5.
