The Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) volleyball held off the host Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV), 2-1 in Saturday's league bout.

The Tide now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Buffalo for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 4. Sherman will battle a Bison team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Poca (Poca, WV). The Bison record now stands at 7-14.

Next, the Cavaliers battle the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 7. Greenbrier West will attempt to move on its 8-14 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 9-16 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV).
