Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad overcome the host Hastings Raiders (Hastings, MN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals (5-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Mounds View (Arden Hills, MN). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Mounds View gained a win over Park (Cottage Grove, MN), 3-0, in a league test.

The Raiders now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Louis Park for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Hastings will face a Orioles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Jefferson (Bloomington, MN). The Orioles record now stands at 7-7.
