Sheboygan South Redwings (Sheboygan, WI) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Hilbert Wolves (Hilbert, WI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Redwings (6-13) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Mary Catholic (Neenah, WI). The Zephyrs come into the non-league challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, St. Mary Catholic edged Kohler (Kohler, WI), 3-0, in a league test.
The Wolves now sport a 3-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reedsville for a Big East test on Tuesday, October 7. Hilbert will face a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran (Green Bay, WI). The Panthers record now stands at 4-14.
