The Dalles Riverhawks (The Dalles, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Ida B. Wells Guardians (Portland, OR), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Riverhawks (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Madras (Madras, OR). The White Buffaloes come into the 4A Tri-Valley challenge with a 8-11 record.

In their next game, the Guardians face the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic test, on Monday, October 6. Ida B. Wells will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Generals go into the test with a 13-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Canby (Canby, OR).
