In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host La Pine Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the McKay Royal Scots.
The Hawks (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Gresham (Gresham, OR). The Gophers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-12 record. In their last challenge, Gresham lost by Nelson (Happy Valley, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Royal Scots face the Corvallis Spartans (Corvallis, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette test, on Tuesday, October 7. McKay will attempt to advance on its 2-14 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 9-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to South Albany (Albany, OR).
