With the win, Lamar County improves its record to 10-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Winfield (Winfield, AL) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league battle on Monday, October 6. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 5-8.

The Stampede now own a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brookwood for a 6A Area 6 contest on Monday, October 6. Paul W. Bryant will meet a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-9.
