Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) boosters left the game pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Crystal Lake South lost by Huntley (Huntley, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

The Blue Demons now sport a 4-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Park for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Maine East will face a Lancers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Lancers record now stands at 8-13.
