Mt. Morris Panthers (Mt. Morris, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Marlette Red Raiders (Marlette, MI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (13-15) will now prepare for their challenge against King (Detroit, MI). The Crusaders come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.

Next, the Red Raiders play the Capac Chiefs (Capac, MI) in a Greater Thumb - East game, on Tuesday, October 7. Marlette will attempt to advance on its 11-8 season record. The Chiefs go into the game with a 1-12 record after their 3-2 league loss to Sandusky (Sandusky, MI).
