The Taft Tigers prevailed the visiting Springfield Millers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Newport Cubs (Newport, OR) in a non-league game, on Saturday, October 4. Taft will attempt to advance on its 12-6 season record. The Cubs enter the game with a 4-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Cascade (Turner, OR).

The Millers (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers come into the 5A Midwestern bout with a 8-6 record. In their last bout, Churchill defeated Crater (Central Point, OR), 3-2, in a league bout.
