The Grimsley Whirlies topped the host McMichael Phoenix volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Whirlies now have a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest Guilford for a non-league test on Thursday, October 6. Grimsley will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Cowboys record now stands at 10-6.
The Phoenix (5-4) will now prepare for their test against T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC). The Red Raiders enter the non-league test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, T.W. Andrews gained a win over North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
