The Making Waves Academy Marlins topped the host Emery Spartans volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Marlins now have a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to California School for the Deaf for a Bay Counties - General test on Thursday, October 6. Making Waves Academy will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Holy Names (Oakland, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.

The Spartans (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Oakland Military Institute (Oakland, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Oakland Military Institute was knocked off by Summit Tamalpais (Richmond, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
