Nebraska High School Football - Centura prevails Amherst

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Centura Centurions (Cairo, NE) and the visiting Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE), observed Centura's football squad defeat Amherst by a count of 16-7.

The Centurions now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Kearney Catholic for a C2 District 6 contest on Friday, October 13. Centura will encounter a Stars squad coming off a 34-20 league loss to Ord (Ord, NE). The Stars record now stands at 5-2.

Coming up next, the Broncos encounter the Gibbon Buffaloes (Gibbon, NE) in a C2 District 6 contest, on Friday, October 13. Amherst will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
