In Thursday's non-league game, the Bourne Canalmen (Bourne, MA) football team knocked off the host Monomoy Sharks (Harwich, MA), by a final score of 21-8.
The Canalmen (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Seekonk (Seekonk, MA). The Warriors come into the South Coast - Gold game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Seekonk was dropped by Greater New Bedford RVT (New Bedford, MA), 49-0, in a non-league game.
The Sharks now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Martha's Vineyard Regional for a Cape & Islands - Lighthouse game on Friday, October 13. Monomoy will battle a Vineyarders team coming off a 32-8 non-league loss to Mashpee (Mashpee, MA). The Vineyarders record now stands at 2-3.
