Oklahoma High School Football - Guymon drops to Gruver

In Thursday's non-league game, the Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) football team knocked off the host Guymon Tigers (Guymon, OK), by a final score of 51-31.

The Greyhounds (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Vega (Vega, TX). The Longhorns come into the 2A-2 Region I District 1 game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Vega toppled Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX), 42-8, in a league game.

The Tigers now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league game on Thursday, October 12. Guymon will battle a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 17-0 league win over Weatherford (Weatherford, OK). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 4-2.
