Colorado High School Football - Steamboat Springs prevails The Academy

October 5, 2023: Westminster, CO 80031

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Steamboat Springs Sailors (Steamboat Springs, CO) and the host The Academy Wildcats (Westminster, CO), observed Steamboat Springs's football squad defeat The Academy by a count of 30-20.

The Sailors now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Forge Christian for a 2A Front Range Mountain contest on Friday, October 13. Steamboat Springs will encounter a Fury squad coming off a 49-0 league loss to Berthoud (Berthoud, CO). The Fury record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Wildcats encounter the Fort Lupton Bluedevils (Fort Lupton, CO) in a 2A Front Range Mountain contest, on Friday, October 13. The Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Bluedevils go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 43-16 league loss to Eaton (Eaton, CO).
