The Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) football overcame the visiting Hays Hawks (Buda, TX), 36-6 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Lehman Lobos (Kyle, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 12. Canyon will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Lobos enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 54-0 non-league loss to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX).

The Hawks (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors enter the non-league bout with a 1-2 record.
