East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) fans exited the stadium content Thursday as they saw their football team knock off the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), 22-12 in a non-league game.
The Cavaliers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Wolves come into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Lincolnton toppled West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 19-6, in a non-league game.
The Bears now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maiden for a non-league game on Thursday, October 12. Bunker Hill will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 24-14 non-league win over Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.
