The East Rowan Mustangs football team (Salisbury, NC), was beaten 28-12 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC)

The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, West Rowan was beaten by Robinson (Concord, NC), 30-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Carson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 12. East Rowan will meet a Cougars team coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-6.
