In Thursday's non-league game, the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) football team were victorious over the visiting North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC), by a score of 49-18.
The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their game against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Blue Devils come into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, South Lenoir was knocked off by Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 54-0, in a non-league game.
The Hawks now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host James Kenan for a game on Thursday, October 12. North Lenoir will battle a Tigers team coming off a 54-38 league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 6-0.
