The Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) football overcame the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 13-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Patriots face the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 12. Freedom will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 1-5 record after their 28-18 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
The Spartans (1-6) will now prepare for their bout against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Alexander Central was toppled by Watauga (Boone, NC), 32-20, in a non-league bout.
