Jacksonville Cardinals (Jacksonville, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they saw their football team hold off the visiting Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC), 21-16 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC). The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, D.H. Conley was tipped by J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC), 28-16, in a league challenge.
The Rams now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host South Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 12. Havelock will meet a Falcons team coming off a 24-14 non-league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 3-3.
